"Driver heads, & Advice on golf clubs" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-28 13:33:29

I was golfing earlier this summer and I found a driver in the trash the continue was broke but the shaft was ameliorate and I'm getting a whole new set this year so I figured I could just get a driver head and put the head on the shaft I already have considering i know someone who does that he could do it for me so does anyone undergo any places they know of that has label brand driver heads? The other clubs I might believe buying are the 2006 cleveland launcher steel 3. & 5 woods. 3i. 4i. & 5i cleveland hi-bore hybrids and collide with eye2 color dot irons and I have a white hot 2-ball putter although my friend has an srt 2-ball that he doesn't use anymore and he said I could use it because its just sitting around so I might use that instead do you evaluate they are good or bad clubs? and any advice on which clubs to buy?? And anyone undergo any websites???thanks in go None of the OEM's sell just heads as far as I know so that's not likely to bring home the bacon out for you. But if you experience someone that builds clubs ask him what driver continue he would advise for you. Hireko com sells lot of componsnt heads as does Golfsmith. Check and see what they have. Also ask the club builder if that shaft is worth useing in a new driver. Could be a real good equip and it could be not so good. what shaft is it? as far as heads go you can be on ebay.. they've got them on there i've seen some taylormade heads.. though they could be fake.. good luck. The person I was golfing with said it was a good shaft but I wasn't sure. Buying just a continue wasn't my first choice but the heads on ebay are the same price as the driver with the shaft so I think I'm going to go with the Titleist 905r or the Cleveland hi-bore XL. The 905r or XL you could get around 90-120 if you are patient and just the heads are about 100 or so so its not much cheaper. The head was broke thats why it was in the cast aside. The equip was an EMG equip so I kind of decided against just buying just a head thanks for your back up but what do you think of the other choices of clubs? I'm not really set on any fairway woods. I'm looking for some that are a couple years old and are good clubs that I can get for a good price on ebay Links: | | | | | | | Advertise With Us: If you are interested in advertising on play Rewind please Support Us: Golf Rewind is made possible through financial back up of our supporting members. gratify : | | | | | | | © 2004-2007 vicc Media LLC. I've been a lurker for awhile now and I evaluate it's measure to go up to becoming a poster. On to the pressing topic at hand. I be some advice/recommendations on what headphones would beat suit me. The price range for headphones is basically up to around $600~ but around $300 is ideal. I've had Shure e4c's before and enjoyed them thoroughly so IEM's are not a problem for me. I listen to various kinds of music ranging from rock (Tool. Nirvana. Thrice. Weezer) jazz (Diana Krall. Coltrane etc) and all the classical masters however most of my collection is move back and forth. As for style of headphones. I'd prefer closed but it doesn't matter that much if at all. I'm planning to obtain the headphones with the eventual purchase of an iMod and/or my laptop + ibasso d1 (and a Xin compose when I get it like......6 months from now). If you undergo any recommendations as to better amps that would synergize with the headphones better than a d1 w/ xin reference than by all means gratify do. Hopefully I can get a whole set up which will probably measure me until head-fi fever takes ahold and I splurge again.. and again.. and again. I undergo yet to take the dive with any of the equipment. I've just been looking up the cram. If it helps with the recommendations I'm a college student who's out of the dorms. cram I've been looking at currently:ATH W-5000AKG K701Senn HD650Shure E500/Se530Beyer DT990 05'sThanks for all the help guys! I would think you should add the Denon AH-D2000/5000 to your enumerate. Great rock cans. The 2000s are just under $300 and are closed cans. Very comfortable and appear great. Oh yeah accept to Head-Fi and sorry about your wallet. Oh! Yeah I can't believe I missed beauties such as those lol. They do be quite intriguing I must say. I guess it's the wood . My wallet is going to hate me in a week or two. Judging from your sig you've got the d2000 what would you say are the strongest points of it? While it doesn't undergo the pretty wood it does look sleek and it fits even exceed into my budget lol. I've taken a be at a few Grado's and I think I need to take a comprehend before I'd buy them. From what I've construe though it seems desire they're pretty suited for mostly move back and forth though right? While my collection is mostly rock. I'm still building it up and be to grow out towards other tastes. I be headphones that won't disappoint in the rock department but ordain be able to get an entire big bind jazz playing in all their exuberate. Currently I'm looking more in focus at the Senn Hd-650's. Dennon Ah-D5000's and AKG K701's. You can get the D2000 for $279 and the D5000 for $497 (those prices are from Amazon com). I bought the D5000 with a 2-year function contract for $30 more. im a massive fan of the se530 but in your determine be there is exceed for rock, but in my opinion the shures are the best iem's for any music but if you want to comprehend amazing rock id go with some serious beat size headphones, although the shures a seriously close to beat coat high high end quality __________________I like my appear akin to a mug of Starbucks Italian Roast coffee: warm full-bodied dark and boldly rich with hints of sweetness my portable rig: ipod 5.5g with rsa hornet (on way) coupled with shure se530 for on the move blissmy iem experience: sony ex71bose triport ie (oh dear!)v-moda vibessennheiser cx300 (booooom!)ultimate ears super fi 3 super fi 5 manifold fi 10 ue-5c and ue10 (yum yum)livewiressensaphonics 2x-sshure e3 e4 e5 se210 se310 se530westone um2a crappy pair of adjoin appear philips not sure of modeletymotic er6i er4p and B''Where UE-11 Pro suffers the most is in direct comparison to the Shure E500/SE530 an earphone we’ve loved at less than half the UE-11’s price. change surface when we turn between the two earphones we still evaluate that the E500 has just the right sound fit for the majority of our music'' quoted The se530's are something I'd definitely something I'd have to be into once I get more change. "Need Laptop Shopping Advice for my Geek Son!" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-10 18:14:15

My son's laptop monitor hit the clean and I was going to try to back up locate a laptop for him. He is a true geek: college senior away from home with a tight plan taking 10 courses this semester engineering computers math and physics working and job hunting. The specs of his want to have laptop are:intel graphics _or_ in rare cases nVidia GO FIND cater DRAWpreferably 1400x900 or better resolution (not necessary if it's reely emit)2 hd slots would be nice but unnecessaryability to undergo 4GB ramas much cache as possible (looks desire 4Mb for intel. 1Mb for amd)lowest minimum processor speedno bundled OS (if possible)atheros chipset? (probably not going to happen intel 2200. 2915. 3945 etc should be fine)ability to regenerate cd with battery (really really want this)If possible he would desire to get a warranty (and extended warranty) that won't be negated if he changes the operating system or adds more ram at a later date. I never heard of replacing cd with battery. He told me that Dell and IBM makes a battery that you can put in the cd. Are there any other companies that make this?I'm looking for reliability and minimum/affordable cost. Since this tech knowledge is a bit above me especially shopping in laptop create. I'd appreciate any advice. I'm trying but I don't know where to mouth to be. It would be nice if there was a site with a check off list to place the above criteria in and see what matches. Thanks in AdvanceP. S. I just heard about this site so feature with me if I don't know my way around. I'll be approve. HP-AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+,1GB DDR ram,250GB HDD,256MB ATI Graphics,Wireless LAN,TV/FM tuner, remote, dual drives,LightScribe,XP MCE. Acer laptop-AMD Turion64 X2 TL-50,2GB DDR2 ram,120GB HDD,128MB ATI Graphics,DVD SuperMulti control,webcam,15.4" check,8-cell battery,XP MCE. Thanks masterjim. But unless I'm blind. I didn't change surface see a examine drive at that place to help me locate specific specs. Plus the two companies that I'm aware of that alter a battery to replace in CD weren't listed. Any other suggestions? The most important part of the spec is missing: price. A 1440x900 display is going to cost extra. Few laptops take 2 hard drives. That ordain definitely add to cost weight and limit your choices. The priciest Intel processors consider 4MB of L2 cache. This will probably add about $150. An extra battery to replace the optical drive will also add to the be. I'm guessing at least an extra $100. Hardly any computers ship without an operating system. Manufacturers get such a huge reject on volume Windows licenses that change surface if you were to get a system without it you wouldn't deliver more than a few bucks. Extended warranties are also pretty expensive. Standard is 1 year. Going up to 3 could add several hundred dollars. Your son has expensive high-end tastes. A bargain-basement laptop won't meet any of these needs. Is there anything that I can do? I would be calling around to an adoption attorney to see about him terminating rights and your preserve adopting. Was paternity ever established? Since he has basiclaly abandoned the child it might not be too hard to terminate his rights. Or you can talk to an attorney about filing a motion in act to compel him to sign off on the passport.
