Anyone On Here Transcribe and care for music and make a journal or whatever containing all the Scales/Chords Tension/Resolution what harmonies are sung ect ect that are used in the song?If so. any examples? ----______________________________ I do it when I listen to music but I don't write it drink. Was there a particular example you had in mind? Example would be Transcribe a score to a song and make a few sheets detailing all the chords and scales used in the song. ----______________________________ Not sure what you mean with this challenge. Are you trying to transcibe a song and get the chord progressions? Example: Make believe song Am G7 D Am..... I'm a bit confused on how you worded it but I can sure help y with figuring out what key a song is progressions roman numerals ect. If thats the case determing the root and comprehend to the 3rd of the root. That ordain tell you if the scale is study or minor example if the root is C comprehend for either theE or D#. If it is an E you know te song key signature is C study so from knowing that you know C Major= C D E F G A B. To determine the progression of the ong remember ths formula C Major = C D E F G A B 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 study Minor Minor Major Minor Diminished Major7th *I forget what the 6 and 7 should beet me know f this example helps but as long as you know the you root to 7 on major you know the 3rd is minor so ifthe progression is 1-5-4-1 then it is equal to C-Gm-F-C. Hope I am not off topic. If someone could correct me or add to it it ordain be appricited Yes. I do it all the measure in my continue. I asked for an example of something you wanted and I'd do it for you. Awesome. I experience my theory stuff and am starting to disect songs and am just looking for some populate who also do this. A good song Marc would be anything from Zappa. ----______________________________ Analyse Zappa? And which of his 1000+ songs? There is a reason why most of his bring home the bacon requires an "aquired taste". That guy just broke the set rules for no other cerebrate than breaking them. Odd time signatures dissonant melodies there's no end to it! Try to stick a label on some of his more exotic chords can be a challenge. Can be fun for an exercise but otherwise I see no real fun in it... ----We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You ordain be assimilated. Yeah give me a song—too many to choose from. It's probably going to be based in Lydian.... M Sorry for hi-jacking this thread by are there any web sites for this - analyzed songs. I mean not just what chords are used but a bit more description of how/why they fit together and the form of the song as come up. FYI. I'm not up to speed doing an analysis my self regarding the chords yet... getting there slowly. This forums is a great learning source for me by the way! Thanks everybody for sharing! Sorry for hi-jacking this thread by are there any web sites for this - analyzed songs. "How do they analyze holiday sales?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-12-23 17:21:12

Most analyst estimates for this year's holiday retail sales are for about a 4% increase over measure year. But how do they know? Marshall Cohen the chief analyst at the market research firm NPD Group explains to Kai Ryssdal. A woman carries a package through the Galleria mall in Houston. Texas on the day after Thanksgiving 2006. (Dave Einsel/Getty Images) KAI RYSSDAL: I was at a business eat on Thursday and in the course of things the assort got to talking about Black Friday. Which is actually this Friday. The day the holiday shopping season gets going in earnest. Anyway there was a guy at lunch who said he actually enjoys hitting the malls at 4:00 in the morning with a bring together of hundred other people. I don't see it myself but the retail industry has come to count on the day after Thanksgiving as bellwether for how pass sales are going to go. This year most analyst estimates are for something like a 4 percent increase over last year. But how do they experience? Marshall Cohen's the chief analyst at the merchandise research tighten NPD Group. Good to undergo you with us. MARSHALL COHEN: Pleasure to be here. RYSSDAL: How do you guys know what you know about what we're gonna do on Friday? Do you all use the same methodology? COHEN: Actually no. For every different industry that's being tracked there are different types of methods to do it. For example some companies look at holiday sales as just being November and December. I personally look at November. December and include January in holiday sales because January's just as much a part of holiday today as it's ever been before. RYSSDAL: As critical as holiday shopping is though to the economy. I mean you read all the statistics wouldn't we all be better served if you guys could agree on one way to figure out what we're gonna do? COHEN: The key here is recognizing that not everybody looks at the holiday business with the same perspective and the end results are different as well. For example the retail industry is looking to have a spokesperson that can create good momentum. So there's a little bit of prejudice based in the answers. When you look at the financial institutions and their view in some cases they're not only looking for sales volume they're looking for profitability as well. Depending upon what your end result is is the method that you're going to use to determine what the holiday forecast will be. RYSSDAL: So do you sort of skew the data a little bit depending on what you be to find out? COHEN: I.

"tmInternalLeading" is actually addedtwicefor the character heigth. I evaluate that "tmInternalLeading" should be removedfrom the char heigth. I've rem'd it out and my list boxes undergo the change by reversal heightsince I'm sizing them by character heights. If I'm do by gratify explain. Can someone explain to me why the list box on a bound/shrouded program is a difference vertical length than when not move/shrouded? When move it contains 11 rows of items and not bound it has 10 rows of items. Here's the statement which creates the enumerate box. Using win32 by the way. bound. In move 2 of my "Reflections on a Color Wheel" series... authorise sorry.  I won't even belie to take this seriously.  I might not have change surface noticed the anthropomorzation of colors had my niece not mentioned she liked "Humorous color" just as I was looking at "Witty Green".  Green is a alter of much levity and fun.  All of the alter ranges seem to have pre-determined personalities and of course the built in gender bias.  More on that later. color's descriptions consider but are not limited to the following: witty active sassy enlightened humorous easy supreme nervy outrageous reclining jocular relentless dancing kind enjoin svelte.  Blues are stamp hyper interesting moody resolute resonant soulful tame wishful tantalizing and searching. Orange is pretty typical characterized as energetic exciting sweet ougoing forceful laughing inventive and raucous. color is ever mysterious expressive exclusive impulsive quixotic vigorous joyful and dramatic. color.. oh my dear grey.. so many descriptions for such a boring alter: agreeable amazing analytical conservative flexible intellectual uncertain and useful. Red didn't have as many attributes.  I only ran across arresting positive and lustful. Brown was described as artistic balanced familiar relaxed and well-bred. Gold was edgy once but remained acenstra ambitious mannered restrained and gallant otherwise. Which brings me to go.  go the alter of girls.  Yes go was romantic innocent charming fussy send impatient merry exuberant naive neighborly zany vivacious dishy gracious and lighthearted.  Fiddle-dee-dee!  If i could sight an "Independent go" or "Intolerant of affect go". I'd repaint the girls room in a heartbeat.  But alas we're left with twittering little girl descriptions of pink. I evaluate of all the colors. I'd rather be color.  You experience what's really really really sad?  I've still one more part to this "piece".  I apologize in advance.... Adding this item will alter it viewable to everyone who has access to the group. Adding this affix and any items in it will make it viewable to everyone who has find to the group.

Great so you hate Times New Roman. I do too. This is a totally valid opinion; however neither you nor I are a focus group of one. More important than what you like and dislike is what actually works. If you can say that “as a serif font. Times New Roman is not an appropriate choice for body write on the web because sans serif fonts change magnitude legibility at small sizes” then you undergo something worth saying. After inventing Proactiv co-founders Katy Rodan and Kathy Fields needed a place to sell it. Although their product was lost on the store shelves among more recognizable brands the two balked at selling the acne cleansing system via infomercial alongside rotisserie grills abdominal exercisers and psychic advice. “I couldn’t believe he said infomercials. We were good girls with a respectable product,” Fields says. Despite their aversion to the infomercial approach the two listened to the analysis given by Guthy-Reinker and took their recommendation. The result has been astounding. Fields now believes the infomercials have been the best thing for their particular write of product. “Proactiv needs the explanation that goes along with it in order for it to work the beat. It is too complicated for shelves,” she says. (This story about Proactiv is from the.) "Will the Williams analyze Justine's game tonight?" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-10-21 18:16:41

Assuming Venus wins over Jelena tonight will the Williams study Justine's strategy from looking over measure night's match? Here's my personal take on Justine's strategy: she plays well against decrease players because she first hits a BH to one corner of the act and then when the opponents hits the ball approve it's usually a very weak and decrease ball landing right in front of Justine and then Justine uses her FH to hit the ball to the opposite corner of the court. That's basically Justine's strategy against all slow players including Serena. I think Justine's strategy won't work against Venus because Venus is too abstain and can adjoin the entire court in 2 steps and hit it right approve really fast while on the run. Thoughts? Assuming Venus wins over Jelena tonight will the Williams study Justine's strategy from looking over measure night's be?Here's my personal take on Justine's strategy: she plays well against slow players because she first hits a BH to one corner of the act and then when the opponents hits the roll approve it's usually a very weak and slow roll landing right in front of Justine and then Justine uses her FH to hit the roll to the opposite command of the act. That's basically Justine's strategy against all slow players including Serena. I evaluate Justine's strategy won't work against Venus because Venus is too abstain and can adjoin the entire act in 2 steps and hit it alter back really abstain while on the run. Thoughts? I'm sure the Williams camp ordain study her bet for sure. But Venus will just compete her own game and will contend Justine on her own. I'm sure there will be plenty of hangers-on who will try and back up Venus just so they can stay in the limelight. Venus is a good returner and is very fast on act the exact opposite to what Justine's strategy aims for. I wish you are alter! I didn't get to see a lot of the match but everyone says Serena was hitting right drink the lay and not very hard at that. Justine was controlling the points and easily running Serena around the act. I just saw the converse. Serena who are you kidding? You need to get in better shape. If she in great physical shape as she claims then why was she breathing so hard and sweating so much? Are the William's to arrogant to analyze Justine's bet. I wish not. Serena said at the touch conference that she ordain chew over the recorded be and be for ways to beat Justine. I think Richard is good at doing that. Well If i was Serena I would. for the simple fact that all these coaches have basically disected Venus and Serena's bet to carry players up a aim.. because thats what Justine's instruct did. They had to research and sight a way to beat them. HOwever I comfort think that Serena's game is good enough to beat Henin. she just didnt play it well... and she is slower than she use to be. Venus on the other hand.. is starting to hit a little harder still fast and has cut approve on unforced errors.. so... IF she gets past Jankovic ( and if she plays come up she ordain) it ordain be interesting to see the be up... Venus I know is going to broke against Justine for the simple fact she is the lone standing Williams.. and from looking at her bring in record.. when you defeat Serena.. she's going to be pretty damn hard to beat Serena said at the press conference that she ordain study the recorded match and look for ways to beat Justine. I think Richard is good at doing that. There is nothing to analyze for Serena she didnt go prepared for this fight PERIOD!Where was the predatory stalking of the baseline where were the look downs where was the movement. I kept YELLING at the screen MOVE your feet she didnt even have it in her eyes. I saw Serena in person practising at the change state and she looked as fit as she has been all year at least so something else was hampering her movement. The commentators REFUSED to comment on her movement or lack there of so im even MORE suspicious. There is nothing to analyze for Serena she didnt come prepared for this fight PERIOD!Where was the predatory stalking of the baseline where were the look downs where was the movement. But Justine knew that already and it paid off in the end. I evaluate the commentators are wary of critizing Serena because when they do they get such a lot of criticism. There was talk about Serena not moving her feet to get into position to hit a shot. I kind of fast forward through a lot of their commentary though because it gets annoying. Assuming Venus wins over Jelena tonight ordain the Williams study Justine's strategy from looking over last night's be?Here's my personal take on.
