- CBC News: A Richmond. B. C man who died Monday night at a Smashing Pumpkins rock show in Vancouver was crowd-surfing before he collapsed the provincial coroner’s function said Tuesday. The coroner found no trauma to the man’s continue or any other part of his body. The cause of death won’t be known for weeks until an autopsy and a toxicology report are complete.

- OUT-LAW com: The leak of 45 million people’s credit card information was caused by retailer TJX gathering too much data and not protecting it properly according to the Canadian Privacy Commissioner. The Commissioner has published the results of an investigation into the affiliate which open that the unprecedented leak was foreseeable. It found that the company’s processes had failed to protect customers and how simply keeping so much information is “a serious liability”.

The PDAs are too small to be really useful change surface if they have the computing power. The minimum size is laptops. Nothing smaller is really functional. And as far as handwriting recognition is concerned it it useless even if it was working well. Handwriting is obsolete because using a real keyboard is better. One day the keyboard itself might be replaced by voice recognition once it is really working not transfer writing recognition! We will see.
