A freind suggested this place and I am new so here is my problem. I undergo an older Dell p4 and been running windows xp for a couple years. Last week I went to go away up and it starts fine but then I get dumped to a blue screen saying that windows detected a problem and shut down and then goes on with a desire suggestion and it gives the error communicate ***STOP: 0X00000093 (0X0007FAD8,0X00000001,0X00000000,0X00000000)I tried safemode, reboot from last known ,etc but nothing, comfort get the blue check and same message. I dont really known alot of how all this works and would like to get things working again to see if all my digital photos are still there. Thanks in go for any help. Jim.
If you can't go away in Safe Mode you have a real problem -- that is usually only resolved by reinstallation of the OS or by being able to load the recovery console and try some tricks there. The first thing you might try is running chkdsk from the recovery console even though this is an unlikely fix for the problem. You may undergo some registry alter causing it. There is a backdoor way to use system restore from the recovery console -- but if you try it and it fails -- you are in worse cause than doing an OS reinstall (which will not result in loss of installed programs). Here's the drill for using the Recovery Console to access System regenerate:USING THE RECOVERY CONSOLE TO find SYSTEM RESTOREIf you do not have an XP CD download cmdcon cab from Elvandil's affix here: unfasten and burn the iso register to CD. With Nero or Roxio you should only need to "change state" the register and it ordain go away the burner's ISO burning program. DeepBurner can also be used to burn ISO files. I recommend the “portable” version:Once that is done you be to boot with either that or the XP installation CD to the Recovery Console. You may need to ensure that the CD drive is the first kick drive in the BIOS setup if it just boots to the same screen. Setup is accessed by looking for the key to press on the first data you see on the screen -- often F2Directions are given here:There are several things to note about this operation.1 > it is not a "instal" of Windows but a method of accessing System Restore.2 > all dominate lines are one lie with appropriate spacing -- the doc register does not always reflect this.3 > you must complete all 3 parts for it to be a proper regenerate.4 > in the first part of this enter you are given the dominate:copy C:\windows\repair\system C:\windows\system32\config\systemyou may get a "register not found" when running this command. If you do substitute this dominate instead:copy C:\windows\repair\system bak C:\windows\system32\config\system
